Starting a Senior Care Franchise

Once you’ve signed your franchise agreement, you’ll be on your way to starting your senior care franchise.

As soon as you’re approved, you’ll be partnered with a dedicated Franchise Operations Manager. Your Franchise Operations Manager will provide one-on-one support as you prepare to open your franchise, walking you through each step of the process.

At this time, we’ll also provide you with our Operations Manual and access to online training for new franchise owners.

After you’ve purchased your franchise, you’ll begin training remotely. Our online education for new franchisees includes 55 hours of remote training. This allows you to complete nearly half of your training on your own schedule, from wherever you’re most comfortable.

Our online training will introduce you to all major aspects of franchise operations, including financial planning, lead generation, caregiver recruitment, and delivery of care services. By completing online training, you’ll have a rock-solid foundation for when you start classroom education.

Once you’ve completed remote training, you’ll attend in-person training at Senior Helpers headquarters in Towson, Maryland. This week-long training program includes 60 hours of classroom instruction from industry experts.

During classroom training, you’ll learn the ins and outs of starting a senior care franchise and building a successful business. Our instructors will provide proven strategies for recruiting and training caregivers, local marketing, developing care plans, managing your office, and more. In addition to becoming an expert in franchise operations, you’ll meet with other franchise owners and work with members of our corporate team.

Once you’ve purchased your franchise, Senior Helpers provides one-on-one coaching with all aspects of operating and managing your business. We can walk you through key aspects of establishing your franchise, including:

Our team can also introduce you to a number of third-party vendors who provide services and materials at a discounted rate.

Staffing & Recruitment

As you plan for opening, we’ll work with you to fill key positions and recruit caregivers. Senior Helpers uses hireology to make the recruitment process more efficient for our franchise owners, and we have relationships with key third-party vendors to assist with staffing. What’s more, we are certified as a Great Place to Work®, giving our franchisees a critical advantage when recruiting new caregivers. 

Marketing & Lead Generation

As you’re starting your senior care franchise, we’ll help you kickstart operations with an “Off to the Races” marketing plan. This plan covers online marketing, direct marketing, and branding for your agency, with a focus on landing your first clients. 

We will also provide you with leads directly through our referral program. This program includes relationships with leading care referral service providers, such as A Place for Mom® and Caring.com.

You’ve signed your franchise agreement, completed remote and in-person training, and prepared for opening. Now it’s time to open your franchise for business. Our support continues on opening day, including an onsite visit from your Franchise Operations Manager. 

After opening, our support will continue with one-on-one coaching via regular conference calls and access to Senior Helpers resources.

Our training program doesn’t end after your doors are opened. At Senior Helpers, we believe the key to supporting our franchise owners is to maintain consistent opportunities for education, training, and growth.

As a Senior Helpers franchise owner, you’ll have access to:
