Senior Helpers Featured in October Edition of Franchise Times Magazine

Franchise Times Magazine recently released its “Top 200+” list of the best franchises to own, and Senior Helpers was highlighted by the publication for its tremendous position in the senior care industry.

The magazine highlighted how well the senior care sector performed year over year, with even the “last place” finisher showing an increase in sales from one year to the next.

Senior Helpers, however, led the sector, posting an incredible 14.8 percent rate of growth year over year. Overall, the sector saw 6.9 percent growth, which underscores just how well Senior Helpers has performed in the past year relative to its competitors.

“This is a business that’s a marathon, not a sprint,” Senior Helpers co-founder and CEO Peter Ross told Franchise Times.

“We’ve gotten more mature as a brand,” he explained, adding that the company’s expanded service offering that includes a unique and state-of-the-art Alzheimer’s and dementia care program has helped franchisees grow their business.

“At the end of the day, we want more franchisees to be more profitable,” he said.

Clearly under Ross’ direction, that’s exactly what Senior Helpers franchisees are going to accomplish. The company rocketed up 17 spots on the list thanks to that approach toward growing their sales. It’s a trend Ross sees as important to the future of the company and industry alike.

“We know the demand for our services is amazing,” Ross added. “There’s a silver tsunami that’s coming across out country. Home care now plays a critical role in the health-care continuum.”

The “Top 200+” list ranks the 500 best franchises to own and invest in. Senior Helpers ranked No. 204 overall – up from No. 221 last year – and seventh in its category, despite having fewer current franchise locations than nearly every other top 15 franchise in its category.

Headquartered in Timonium, Maryland, Senior Helpers is a provider of in-home medical and non-medical care for senior citizens. Senior Helpers offers specialized services for patients with dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. The brand was founded in 2001, and became a franchised business in 2005. Today there are Senior Helpers service providers throughout the United States.
